Privacy Policy for Amanda Sudimack

We appreciate that you care how information about you is used and shared.  This Privacy Policy describes the privacy policy of Amanda Sudimack and its website, www.amandasudimack.com (the “Site”).  Amanda Sudimack means Artisan Events, Inc. d/b/a Amanda Sudimack, an Illinois corporation, its shareholders, officers, agents, employees, successors, and assigns (referred to hereafter as “we” or “us” or “Amanda Sudimack”)).  By accessing or otherwise using the Site or by agreeing to the Amanda Sudimack Site Terms of Use or the Amanda Sudimack Sales Agreement, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree, or are legally unable to agree, to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please exit this page and do not access or use the Site.

Updates to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting on the Site the revised Privacy Policy, which is effective immediately upon posting.  You agree to be bound by any revisions and should periodically visit this page to review the current terms of our Privacy Policy.  

Types of Information about Users Gathered by Amanda Sudimack
The information we gather about users of this Site enables us to provide you with the services you seek and helps us to personalize and continually improve our service to you.  Here are the types of information we gather:
•    Information You Give Us:  We receive and may store any information you enter on the Site or provide us in any way.  For example, you provide us with information when you make a purchase, arrange for a delivery or return, submit an inquiry, subscribe to our newsletter, or interact with the Site in other ways. We may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, such as your name, home or business address, email address, phone number, or password.  Some of the information we ask you to provide us is mandatory and some is voluntary.  If you do not provide the mandatory information requested for a particular activity, you will not be permitted to participate in that activity.
•    Automatic Information:  We receive, analyze, and store certain types of information whenever you interact with the Site, whether or not you have agreed to the Amanda Sudimack Sales Agreement. For example, we may collect the IP address used to connect your computer to the Internet; your email address; information about your browser and operating system; the Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) of the websites you visit before and after our Site; and information about how you move around our Site.  We may place cookies and other anonymous identifiers on your computer to prevent fraud, to personalize your experience on our Site, and to collect and store this information so that we can improve our services.  A cookie is a small piece of information that a website can send to your browser and may then be stored on your computer’s hard drive.  An anonymous identifier is a random string of characters that is used for the same purposes as a cookie on platforms, including certain mobile devices, where cookie technology is not available.  You may be able to block, delete, or disable cookies, but doing so may prevent you from taking advantage of some or all of Amanda Sudimack’s services.  
•    Information from Other Sources:  We may combine information you provide us with information from third parties to correct our records, personalize your experience, or enhance our services.  This may include, but is not limited to, information from our service providers.

How Amanda Sudimack Shares the Information It Receives
Information about our users is a critical part of our business.  We will not sell that information to others, but we may share user information with others in the following ways:
•    With Authorized Third Party Service Providers:  We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, such as analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments, and operating or hosting our Site, and we may share your personally identifiable information with these parties.  The use of your personally identifiable information by such parties is subject to their privacy policies and is not subject to our control.  Our Site is hosted by Squarespace, Inc., (“Squarespace”) which provides us with the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our artwork to you.  Your data is stored through Squarespace’s data storage and the general Squarespace application.  You may want to familiarize yourself with Squarespace’s privacy policy, too.
•    To Parent or Affiliated Companies:  While we currently do not have a parent company, subsidiaries, or any other companies under a common control, we may in the future, and we may share your personally identifiable information with these companies, in which case we will require them to honor this Privacy Policy.
•    In a Change of Ownership:  As we continue to develop our business, we might merge with or be acquired by another company.  If this happens, the successor company could acquire the information we maintain, but personally identifiable information would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.
•    For Amanda Sudimack’s Protection or the Protection of Others:  We may disclose your personally identifiable information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with the law or a court order; enforce our Amanda Sudimack Site Terms of Use Agreement or Sales Agreement with you; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Amanda Sudimack, our users, or others.  

Security of Your Information
If you choose a direct Payment Gateway to complete your purchase, we do not have access to your credit card information but Squarespace and Stripe, Inc. stores your credit card data, which it encrypts through Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). It is encrypted using secure socket layer (SSL) technology and stored with AES-256 encryption. All direct Payment Gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.  For more information, you may read Squarespace’s and Stripe, Inc.’s Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.

If you choose PayPal® to complete your purchase, we do not have access to your credit card information when you share it directly with PayPal®.  The use of your personally identifiable information by PayPal® is subject to its privacy policy and is not subject to our control.

When you provide us with personally identifiable information, however, you acknowledge that, even with industry standard security measures in place, third parties might unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. It is also important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your computer and to sign off when you finish using a shared computer.

Managing Your Information
You have options for managing your personally identifiable information on Amanda Sudimack:
•    We will not send you third party promotional emails without your permission. As a condition of agreeing to the Amanda Sudimack Sales Agreement, however, you agree to receive from us administrative emails that relate to your purchase through our Site and announcements about new features or changes to the Site.
•    If you sign up for our newsletter, you agree to receive from us email announcements about new features on the Site and new offerings by Amanda Sudimack.
•    If you no longer want to receive emails from us, you may opt out by using the link at the bottom of one of our emails or you may write to us at Amanda Sudimack, 350 N. Ogden Avenue, Suite #220, Chicago IL 60607.  Your personal information may remain in our historical records, but you will no longer receive emails from us about new features or changes to the Site or our offerings.

Children’s Privacy Issues
Minors under the age of 13 may not use the Site. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from anyone under the age of 13.  Minors under the age of 18 may make inquiries on the Site only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.  Anyone making inquiries through the Site represents that he or she is 13 years of age or older and, if he or she is at least 13 but less than 18 years of age, that he or she has the consent of his or her parent or legal guardian to make such inquiries and interact with the Site.  If you are aware of any instance where we have collected information from someone under the age of 13, or under the age of 18 without parent or legal guardian consent, please inform us immediately.

Dispute Resolution
You agree that this Privacy Policy shall be interpreted under the laws of the State of Illinois without reference to its conflict of laws provisions.  The parties agree that, as to any dispute arising out of or related to this Privacy Policy, the parties shall submit such dispute to an impartial mediator located in Cook County, Illinois for resolution.  If the parties are unable to resolve the dispute by mediation, then the parties may bring an action in a court located in Cook County, Illinois or, if a federal action, in the Northern District of Illinois.  You hereby consent and agree to submit to the jurisdiction of and venue in such courts and waive any argument of forum non conveniens.
